Swipebids duped me out of $159.00
I saw an ad on TV about a new auction site on the Internet, it sounded interesting enough, you were supposed to be able to but things at a large discount comparing to retail price. I went to the site and before I was able to see any merchandise I had to register, then for age verification they asked for my credit card information so I entered it so I could see how the auction worked. I never could get the login page to take and approve my login information and get signed in to the auctions and I thought it just hadn't registered at their end yet so I decided to Wait until the next day and try. The following day as usual I logged on to my computer and checked my bank account and found that Swipebids didn't only swipe bids they swiped my money out of my account. Then I Emailed them time and time again and then I called them on the phone and the first 3 or 4 times they said they were refunding my money, but a few days later I tried calling again and didn't reach anyone and then got an Email saying there had been too much time since " I paid my to join them" . Needless to say I have never recovered a dime !

They charged my CC without my consent.
Swipe-Auctions lures you onto their site and invites you to check them out with an offer of free bids, but you have to create an account with them to do it. As soon as they have your CC# they charge you for 159.00, which they'll tell you was clearly marked on their welcome screen, though I don't remember seeing a welcome screen at all. They emailed me what they would later call a "receipt", which included my account information (username and password), but no mention of any charges. While checking their site, I decided these auctions are a fool's errand and decided not to play along. Whenmy CC statement arrived with both a 159.00 charge PLUS a 40.00 foreign transaction fee(!) I was shocked and immediately called the company. Its recorded message directed me to the website again to the contact button. Swipebids calls and wants to return money
I just received a call today saying they are from swipebids wanting to return my money that was charged last August. They had an amount and the last four of my credit card. I was to verify the expiration date and they would return the money to my credit card. Has anyone had this happen to them? They called from Washington state (206) 462-****. If I didn't want to give them the cc info they anted for me to open a western union account and then they would remote control to my computer to deposit the money. Has anyone had this happen??? These guys must be nuts!!!

Falsely charged my credit card $150.00 to veraify age
Swipe bidz wanted my credit card information to verify my age and identity then charged me $150.00. When I contacted them I was told if I had not used any of the $150.00 to bid on anything I had 30 days to request a refund, which I did at that time with that customer representative. He told me that my money should be returned within 8 to 10 days. It was not. I contacted them the second time and got the same story again. I was lied to again by their agent. The third time I contacted them I was told that their credit card processor had closed their account and they had no way to refund my money at that time. So I waited another week and called back to get informed that my 30 days had run out and I was no longer entitled to a refund . You bet I'm PISSED !!!!

I spend 150.00 dollars in swipe bid. A friend of mine recommended it is a scam i reported and never got my money back in this economic situation i did it to buy presents for my wife and daughters i lost the money and buying there presents. If some one knows how to fight against this people on how to get your money back please reply so i can make it up to my girls. Please don't join this companies they are nothing but repose. Every time you bet the got personnel to out bid you in a second.

Swipeauction steal your money and won't return it
this company do not let you know that there going to charge you 159.00 but they charge you leading you to think your using your card for future purchase they will not return your money and your card wont stop payment this is 159.00 scam someone needs to stop them from doing this. they trick you by saying there better then ebay and you will get good deals from bids but instead you will lose your money soon as you sign up with them then you will go to there site to see that all the items they showed you are not there and you will be there for who knows how long for a ipod you can tell they have a machine bid against you they dont warn you they just steal 159.00 from you there phone number is no good and there online chat no one is never there.

I'm pissed at 'pissed consumer' for giving my company a bad reputation
This site put my company 'Sphere Promotional Media & Design LLC' in the same review as 'Sphere Media LLC' which are 2 very different companies and now every time someone looks online for my company this review comes up. I'm very pissed! I think they do this on purpose so that they can charge business a monthly membership to join their website to monitor your negative reviews which is a ridiculous $100 + a month for something one can do. I should consider taking some other action if this issue doesn't get resolved. One tries hard to make an online presence and they discredit you just like that.

Swipe Auctions silently takes your money
For the first time ever, I am taking the time to make a complaint here. The registration process for Swipe Auctions is a scam! They never make it clear that your CC will be charged $159 the moment you provide it and register. Instead, it seems as though you provide that info in case you should win a bid because you'll need to pay immediately. Within in seconds of having them charge my account, I contacted the company via their chat system but was told they could not just cancel the account and negate the charge but that I would have to download a form, complete and mail it, and, if authorized, would have to wait 1-2 WEEKS...because they MUST have my original signature. They didn't need it to charge me. Whatever else they are doing right or wrong, I'll never know but this registration process is absolutely unacceptable. Be Very Aware.

SwipeBids is a RIP-OFF !!!
MISLED to believe that I was recieving FREE bids for a TRIAL. I, TOO, accidentally hit "accept" and after almost INSTANTLY using my 300 bids and winning NOTHING, and being "NOT SATISFIED", I IMMEDIATELY requested a refund. I called, chatted online, emailed, and finally MAILED a completed REFUND REQUEST. I followed up SEVERAL times, to NO avail. I was then, unfortunately, preoccupied with illness, and family medical emergency which took precedence. I am on a fixed income and that money really is needed. I NEVER received the promised REFUND. THIS IS A SCAM - a RIP-OFF - NO ONE should sign up for SwipeBids ! DON'T do it, unless you like to WASTE money !

Swipebids scam
Swipe-bids auction website charged fee to my credit card without telling me and then I could not log on my account to bid. I tried several times but could not contact them to get my money back. They posted a website to chat and contact them but it links me to nowhere. I tried to call them and the machine answered that the website has been shut down. I lost over $150.00 from Swipe bids for nothing! Stick with one you can trust like Ebay!!! It all started with the $150.00 membership. trying to figure it all out is a joke, the so called live chatt with a live operator is another joke. I wanted a refund that same day!! I let it go for awhile, to see if I could do anything. I returned to the site today with a message on the board about refunds, but not for me. I think they finaly got busted. I hope they burn. Waited, 2 weeks ago, was told my money would be credited in 6-10 days, still hasn't reached account. Ashley#SA7978: Swipeauctions is winding down operations, merchant shutting down our processing, is no longer accepting new customers. In addition, Swipeauctions won't issue refunds for membership fees (see Swipeauctions' TOS). During Swipeauctions' wind down period, all products corresponding to already paid winning auctions will be shipped in accordance with Terms & Conditions.

I was very excited to find this sight, because I also did not remember seeing anything on the registration to authorize the 150.00 they charged my acct. I called their customer service and was made to feel like an *** because they said it was in plain sight. So I decided to use the sight, but found that there are people on there that win everything. I ended up with a couple of Walmart gift cards that I had to pay half the price. I had not been to the sight in quite awhile and now I have run into all this information on their demise. What is going on and is there any class actions we could form against these crooks?

Asked about credit card informations and its not clearly mentioned we are going to charge $159.. For me its a bad day i think.. i dono why i venture into it to this site. I gave the informations of my credit card thought if i win any acution they may charge my credit card immediately.

I called the help support. I got the same reply repeatedly stating fill the refund form and sent to us and call us after 4 weeks. when i called them there is no proper response and its very sad to me $159 is a big money for me as of now..

I had the same happen to me just now. I mistakenly ordered the program and was toild to download the cancellation forms and send them in.
Which I did and was told to wait about 4 wks and contact them.

I almost fell victim to their trap. I saw the ad, it sounded interesting, and so I clicked. Thankfully, I've seen a few sites like this one, and have been scammed by them before. SwipeAuctions Official Refund Center is no more that a mailbox at a UPS store that has recently moved one block to a new location near Popeye's Chicken. Should we trust our credit information with a valid signature to a mail drop?
I also do not agree with having to pay to sign up for this auction service. However, I just now went to the link in your message above and printed out the refund form.
Its easy as long as you have Adobe Reader installed on your computer. Just click on the printer icon at the top of the window that the form opens in. I also previously read through the signup page and the cost is clearly laid out several times. That is why I did not sign up.
Their rules are simple: You have to read carefully before submitting your information and if you want a refund you have to fill out their form. It is not the sites fault that you are obviously doing something wrong on your end.
I went to this site before i read this review, i entered my name and when it ask for cc i wondered why so i looked further on the page and i did see the 159.00 fee. People should pay more attention when entering cc info. When a site asks for cc info when registering something is off.pay attention people!
While I'm sympathetic to your situation, you are the lamest caller for help I've ever heard of. The CSR told you plainly and simply how to solve your problem, by copying the info from your PC screen onto a blank piece of paper (you DO remember how to write with a pen, don't you?) and mail it to the company. Since you weren't even willing to try that, you expect sympathy from the readers here, but you don't really deserve it.
